Treatment FAQ

Everything you need to know about preparing for, experiencing, and caring for your skin after our most popular professional treatments.

Skin Treatments

Our signature facials and targeted skin treatments are designed to cleanse, restore, and rejuvenate. Here is what to know before and after your visit.

How should I prep my skin before a facial or skin treatment?

Arrive with clean skin free of makeup if possible. Avoid strong active ingredients — retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and high-strength vitamin C — for 3 to 5 days beforehand. Skip waxing, laser, or aggressive exfoliation in the treatment area for at least 48 hours. Let your therapist know about any medications, pregnancy, or skin conditions during your consultation.

What will happen during my skin treatment?

Your therapist will begin with a consultation and skin analysis to tailor the session to your goals. The treatment typically includes a double cleanse, exfoliation or gentle peel, extraction if needed, a mask or serum infusion, and finishing products. Most facials are comfortable and relaxing; you may feel mild warmth, tingling, or gentle pressure depending on the active ingredients used.

What can I expect straight after a facial?

Skin usually looks refreshed, hydrated, and more radiant immediately after. Some redness or warmth is normal, especially if extractions or active ingredients were used, and typically settles within a few hours. Your therapist will advise if your specific treatment needs any downtime.

What post-care do you recommend after a skin treatment?

Keep skin clean and hydrated. Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours if extractions or peels were performed. Use a gentle cleanser, moisturiser, and SPF 30+ daily. Avoid retinoids, acids, scrubs, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 48 to 72 hours, or as directed by your therapist.

Radio Frequency Skin Tightening

Radio frequency (RF) skin tightening uses controlled heat to stimulate collagen and improve skin firmness. It is non-invasive with no downtime for most clients.

How should I prepare for RF skin tightening?

Come to your appointment with clean, dry skin free of makeup, sunscreen, or skincare products. Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and strong exfoliants for 5 to 7 days before. Remove any metal jewellery near the treatment area. Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your session, as hydrated tissue responds better to RF energy.

What happens during an RF skin tightening session?

A conductive gel is applied to the treatment area. Your therapist will glide the RF handpiece across the skin in slow, controlled movements. You will feel a deep, comfortable warmth similar to a hot stone massage. The device temperature is monitored throughout to keep the treatment safe and effective. Sessions usually last 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area.

What can I expect after RF skin tightening?

Skin may appear slightly flushed and feel warm for 30 minutes to a few hours. There is usually no peeling or significant redness. Some clients notice an immediate subtle lift, but the main results build gradually as collagen remodels over 4 to 12 weeks. A course of treatments typically delivers the best outcome.

What post-care is needed after RF skin tightening?

Drink plenty of water to support collagen production. Apply soothing, fragrance-free skincare and SPF 30+ every morning. Avoid direct sun, saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for 24 hours. Do not use retinoids, acids, or exfoliating products for 5 to 7 days unless your therapist advises otherwise.

RF Microneedling

RF microneedling combines tiny insulated needles with radio-frequency energy to target deeper layers of the skin, improving texture, firmness, scarring, and fine lines.

How should I prep my skin before RF microneedling?

Stop retinoids, strong acids, and exfoliating products 5 to 7 days before your appointment. Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks. Do not wax, thread, or have laser hair removal in the treatment area for at least 1 week. On the day, arrive with a clean face and avoid caffeine if you are sensitive to stimulation.

What should I expect during RF microneedling?

Your therapist will pass the device across the skin, where tiny needles deliver RF energy into the deeper layers. You may feel warmth, pressure, and a prickling sensation. Treatment time varies from 30 to 90 minutes depending on the area and concerns being addressed.

What happens after RF microneedling?

Redness and mild swelling similar to a sunburn are normal and usually settle within 24 to 48 hours. Skin may feel warm, tight, or slightly tender. Tiny microdots or a grid pattern can occasionally be visible for a short time. Avoid washing your face for the first 24 hours, then use only gentle, hydrating products until the skin has fully calmed.

What post-care advice do you give after RF microneedling?

Do not wear makeup for at least 3 days. Avoid active ingredients including retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and high-strength vitamin C for 7 days. Skip exfoliation for 7 days, and avoid saunas, swimming pools, and strenuous exercise for 3–4 days. Protect skin with SPF 50 daily and avoid direct sun for 2 weeks. A series of sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart gives optimal results.

Chemical Peels

Our professional peels use clinical-strength acids to exfoliate, brighten, and resurface the skin. Each peel is selected and buffered by a trained therapist for your skin type and concern.

How should I prepare for a chemical peel?

Discontinue retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, and strong vitamin C for 5 to 7 days prior. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner for 2 weeks. Do not wax, thread, or have laser treatments on the area for at least 1 week. Tell your therapist about any history of cold sores, as peels can trigger outbreaks in susceptible clients.

What should I expect during a chemical peel treatment?

Your skin is cleansed and prepped before the peel solution is applied. You may feel tingling, warmth, or tightness as the acids work. The depth of sensation depends on the peel strength. Your therapist will monitor your skin and neutralise or remove the solution at the right time. The treatment is usually completed with soothing serums, moisturiser, and SPF.

What can I expect after a chemical peel?

Mild redness, tightness, and flaking are common for several days after a peel. Deeper peels may produce more noticeable peeling around days 2 to 5. Skin often looks brighter and smoother once the shedding phase is complete. It is important not to pick or forcibly exfoliate the peeling skin, as this can cause irritation or post-inflammatory pigmentation.

What post-care is recommended after a chemical peel?

Use only gentle cleanser, moisturiser, and SPF 50+ for at least 1 week. Avoid makeup for 24 hours, or longer if skin is still actively peeling. Do not use retinoids, acids, scrubs, or exfoliating tools until your therapist gives the all-clear. Stay out of direct sun and avoid heat, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 3 to 7 days depending on peel depth.
